FIT: No Idea What I'm Doing

Hey guys, welcome to another FNM In Training. This week was a draft, and you'll see it's pretty interesting. So, I get to TwoCats, and guess what? Gabor's back! Yay! So we hang out for a while, and get seated next to each other in the draft. However, the bad news is that he usually drafts Boros, so I decided to draft Orzhov, but he opened a Watery Grave (money draft) and got passed some white cards, so he went into Esper, cutting me off of my good Orzhov picks. While this happened, I had been picking Alms Beadst, Kingpin's Pet, and Orzhov Charm, but Orzhov dried up. I then realized that I had passed a bunch of really good Boros cards to the person on my left, Pat, so I was torn because I wanted to switch into Boros, but he already was in Boros. Eventually, a 7th or 8th pick Drakewing Krasis came by, so after all that I ended up in Simic. My deck ended up ok, with a lot of really good common fliers, but almost no removal because all the blue removal went to Gabor and the other Dimir drafter at the table, Nick. This is the deck I ended up drafting:
Creatures:
1 Cloudfin Raptor
1 Crocanura
2 Ivy Lane Denizen
3 Metropolis Sprite
3 Drakewing Krasis
1 Shambleshark
1 Sapphire Drake
1 Nimbus Swimmer
1 Sage's Row Denizen
1 Scab-Clan Charger
Other Spells:
1 Simic Keyrune
2 Last Thoughts
1 Hands of Binding
1 Gridlock
1 Urban Evolution
1Spell Rupture
1 Burst of Strength
Lands:
2 Simic Guildgate
8 Island
7 Forest

So my deck was good, but it wasn't very aggressive. Because Cloudfin Raptor is also  good in Dimir and Experiment One is very good in Gruul, I didn't end up with many of either. Also, there were almost no Shamblesharks in the draft, and I got like the only one. Finally, Last Thoughts is a lot better than people give it credit for. Inspiration was a good card in RtR draft, and Last Thoughts is like an Inspiration that also enchants a creature with Curiosity, because the opponent will usually not have a kill spell immediately for the encoded creature. Anyways, enough with my insane ramblings, though, let's talk about the matches!

Round :
Game 1: He's Gruul Aggro, so I die horribly. His Bomber Corps nerfs my 2 Drakewing Krasis' that I draw and his Firesfist Striker removes my blocker. Not having removal really hurts here, because I usually have to rely on being the aggressor, and lack of removal stops me from playing defense.
Game 2: Pretty much the same thing happens. I die to an aggressive start, no removal, blah, blah. Whatever.

I'm depressed now because I don't think I can 3-0 the rest of the tournament with this deck, so I doubt I'll be able to cash.

Round 2:
This round, I'm playing against Robin, a lady at the store who only recently (I think) started playing in tournaments. She could have been playing tournaments somewhere else, I don't really know. She's playing Simic with a bigger curve of both Sylvan and Diluvian Primordial.
Game 1: We board stall for a while, but then I draw double Ivy Lane Denizen, and suit up a Metropolis Sprite with 3 +1/+1 counters, and then make it an 8/1 to bash for the win. That's some synergy, and I'll look forward to drafting this combo in the future.
Game 2: Once again, we board stall with lots of creatures, and once again I draw both Ivy Lane Denizens. She makes a small mistake, I think, by attacking with Diluvian Primordial when I have an 8/8 Nimbus Swimmer because of my Ivy Lane Denizens. I then attack for "Lethal" with one card in hand. She the proceeds to Bioshift my Nimbus Swimmer to my other creature, killing my Swimmer. Unfortunately for her, I was holding Gridlock, and tapped her blockers for the win. I felt bad because I think she deserved the win. That Bioshift could have blown me out, but I lucksacked my one-outer. Mize.

I'm feeling a little better now, and having some fun. Our game went really long, and my third round starts immediately. Kay. Pairings up. Gotta go check

I look at the pairing sheet and I see Gabor P. Gabor. Seriously? When we're both 1-1? Damn. So we play for "elimination." This sucks, and I really don't want to eliminate him. (We get paired for elimination a lot, and it's always when I'm his worst matchup. He'd probably love to eliminate me, but that's another story.)

Round 3:
Game 1:  I get pretty demolished. I get my first spell Psychically Stricken, then die to Keymaster Rogue that I can't interact with.

Game 2 and 3: I don't really remember these rounds. I do remember, however, drawing Gridlock and multiple Drakewing Krasis both games. He's cool about it though, and leaves early to play League of Legends.

Round 4: This time I play against Greg, Robin's husband, on Dimir. Sweet.
Game 1: He's manascrewed and I have a good draw. smashSmashSMASH he dies.
Game 2: He has lands and a turn one Cloudfin Raptor, but I draw Hands of Binding to fight through his. Eventually, he gets Leyline Phantom plus Cloufin going, but I draw Spell Burst to prevent him after one iteration, and win.

So, 3-1 worth 15 bucks in credit, which I trade to some guy for $2 and a Sacred Foundry. Thanks for reading!

Bonus Section:
Random Thoughts.
I'm going to Hawai'i tomorrow, so sorry for the short post. My cousin's getting married and we're packing, so my energy has been elsewhere.
Coincidentally,  my birthday (April 4) is going to be when we're in Hawai'i! Yeah!
I might start a stream @Foaly27 on Twitch, so I'll alert if I do.
Happy Easter!
