FNM Roundups and Dragon's Maze Spoilers!

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't made a post in a while. My compute has been completely screwed up recently. It's seriously a miracle a can get this post up. For those of you who care, here's a quick rundown of my last 2 FNM.
FNM #1: Draft
I got a pretty sweet Orzhov deck with Treasury Thrull and 2x Kingpin's Pet, splashing an Aurelia's Fury. I also had 2 Shadow Slice, which are surprisingly good in a creature-heavy Orzhov or Dimir deck. They really swing races, and the fact that you can extort on the copies is just gravy. I played against Pat, a regular, with what was pretty much the mirror match round 1, except he was Boros splashing some Orzhov cards, and had way more tricks than me. Game one, I couldn't play around all his tricks, and he rolled me. game 2, I stabilized with some Kingpin's Pets, and drew an Aurelia's Fury the win. I had Shadow Slice in hand, though, but I figured making him play around my one Aurelia's Fury was better than making him play around my 2 Shadow Slices. In game 3, I mulled to 5 into a hand of 5 lands, and kept. I figured asking my deck for just spells was better than mulling to 4, getting 2 high cost spells and 2 lands, and asking my deck for lands and spells. I got lucky, and topdecked Syndic of Tithes into Kingpins Pet into Knight of Obligation into Treasury Thrull. He ended up killing all my creatures except for Treasury Thrull, and I use it to get Kingpin's Pet, then topdeck Shadow Slice. Mize. Round 2, I play against my brother playing Boros, and roll him with lifegain into bombs. I get manascrewed in game 2, but the games that I hit lands and spells I kill him. Round 3, I play a nuts Simic deck, and I flood horribly game 1, drawing 1 spell the entire game. The same thing happens to him game 2, and in game 3, I keep a slow hand on the draw, and he goes Experiment One into Shambleshark into Shambleshark into Drakewing Krasis. My face still hurts. In round 4, I split games against a Simic deck, and in game 3, he plays Giant Adaphage. I slump in my chair, knowing that's game. However, he misplays by using Gridlock to tap my blockers, allowing me to Aurelia's Fury his Adaphage token for one and him for 2, then swing for exactsies. Hehehehe........
FNM #2: Modern
I played 5 Color Cruel Control in this tournament. Round 1, I crushed Eggs 2-0 when I made him discard with a pair of Esper Charms game 1, then countered his Lotus Bloom in his Bloom/no land hand game 2, but the round still took 40 minutes. Eggs is dumb. Round 2 I played against Kuldotha Rebirth R/G and won 2-1, losing a game where I tapped out with a counter in hand and he bolted me. Round 3 I played against monoblue Tron with trading post. He killed me in a long game 1 with Trading post recusrsion of Wurmcoil Engine, but in game 2, I Fulminator Mage'd his land, turning off his Tron, then Cruel Ultimatum'd him. We ended up going to time, though. In round 4, things got ugly. I played against Splinter Twin, and he killed me turn 4 real fast. In game 2, I Slaughter Games'd him, the Snapcast Slaughter games to turn off his combo, and managed to stave of Pestermite and Exarch beats. In game 3, I punted reeeaaaaallllly hard by playing not playing an untapped land on turn 2, so I couldn't counter his Blood Moon. He then beat me down with Pestermite and Deceiver Exarch. I was almost reduced to tears after that round, and I'm still kicking myself 3 days later.

Anyways, onto the new Dragon's Maze Spoiler!

Oh my.......
Ok now, let's dissect this card. \
What decks would like to play it?
1st of all, Naya Ramp. This is the obvious home, and I think it's gonna be good. How good? Well, good, but not amazing. Usually, it will come down and eat removal, but it will also deal 6 to them. In my opinion, this will be somewhere between Inferno Titan and Primeval Titan in terms of how it's played, and it's relative power level. However, it does have other abilities.
Vigilance, Reach, Must Attack. I like how this card is kind of at odds with Angel of Serenity. When you play Ruric Thar, you REALLY don't want the opponent to have the Angel, as it's the answer that isn't a spell. However, when you play Angel then the play Ruric, you just groan at the fact that they can now attack and hold your Angel back with one card.
So overall, the card will see lots o play, which I'm not happy about because I love my durdly Forbidden Alchemy control decks. I'm just glad it's not mythic so it will remain about $10-15 instead of super expensive.
